KMG certification was built to comply with the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) Participatory Guarantee System, an internationally recognized means of "locally focused quality assurance." If the standards below require further clarification, KMG uses Canadian Organic Standards.

*NOTE: The Livestock Standard was amended at the 2018 AGM to make KMG certification more accessible. Non-Organic feed and hay is now acceptable under the KMG standard so long as feed is certified GMO-free (no genetically engineered organisms) and hay is spray-free (ie. it may have been grown with chemical fertilizers, but no prohibited pesticides).
